Marie Antoinette: First Look

After the amazing The Virgin Suicides and Lost In Translation, writer and director Sofia Coppola is back with Marie Antoinette. Coppola's films always look stunning and from the images I've seen so far it looks like we're in for more of the same with this film.

I love the way this Cannes poster fuses modern stark neon pink lettering with the pastel vintage colours of the costume. Coppola has said it's a modern story about teenagers that played out in the past, and I'm sure the script and mise en scene will reflect that.

The cast includes Kirsten Dunst, Jason Schwartzman, Asia Argento, Marianne Faithfull, Rip Torn, Steve Coogan and many more familiar faces.
