Matt Willis was the one in Busted without the funny eyebrows or annoying faux-American accent.

He charted at number 7 with his debut stadium-rock single Up All Night (he deserved a higher entry), and his next single Hey Kid is out in August with an album to follow.

He is a god... A cockney charmer with a twinkle in his eye and a growl in his voice, he has sex appeal to match his fantastic co-written songs.


The download I recommend today is my favourite of the songs he played live when I saw him up in Newcastle in March. Don't Let It Go To Waste is a big-chorused ballad about the end of a relationship. It demands you sing along loudly and wave your lighters in the air.
