What's Your Damage, Heather?

The Deal Report in the latest issue of US Magazine Entertainment Weekly reports that Winona Ryder and writer/director Daniel Waters are collaborating on a sequel to the fantastic 80s dark comedy Heathers; a teen movie with bite and sexy Christian Slater in a bad-boy role.

In comparison the noughties have so far cooked up Mean Girls, which was a good quality teen-film in the vein of Heathers but with added fluff and Lindsay Lohan... a sequel to Heathers is what today's teens really need.

As Winona says;

There's Heathers in the real world! We have to keep going!

And after the upcoming A Scanner Darkly hopefully bringing back Winona's movie cred after her shoplifting incident there's no reason that a sequel couldn't be a huge success!
